

Sterling Office Professionals has partnered with a company to find an Assistant Buyer for a temporary onsite assignment.
Responsibilities

Prepare, enter, and maintain purchase orders for MRO goods and services
-
Verify pricing, quantities, and delivery dates for accuracy
-
Track open purchase orders and follow up with vendors on confirmations and delays
-
Maintain purchasing records, vendor files, and documentation
-
Assist with vendor communications and route inquiries as needed
-
Support inventory control activities, including data entry and cycle counts
-
Assist with receiving documentation and resolving invoice or delivery discrepancies
-
Generate basic purchasing and inventory reports
-
Provide general administrative support to purchasing and operations teams
Experience & Qualifications
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
-
Basic understanding of purchasing or supply chain concepts preferred
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; ERP experience a plus
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
-
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
